About Beep - (Be)OS (e)nd(p)oint:
This is a VoIP client application allows you to speak with any PC, PDA, stand-alone IP-phone and with any legacy wired or mobile phone (if using your VoIP gateway or purchasing service from Internet Telephony Service Provider). It supports both SIP and H.323 standards and is fully interoperable with most major IP-telephony vendors a

Ths application is a SIP and H.323 VoIP Phone. One can get a free sip phone number from fwd.pulver.com or www.sipphone.com or simlilar "free" VoIP sites and set the application to place and receive calls. Or you can call using an IP address. Just choose what protocol you want to you, press "C" (Call) button and you connected. "H" button cancels the call. You can use dialpad or keyboard to type number yourself. The user interface will steadily improve with time, we guarantee that.

It supports a range of codecs, among them are G.711 and GSM 6.10. It could interconnect with other SIP and H.323 phones, such as NetMeeting and Gnomeeting.

This application is still in works, and here we made a "technical preview" available.

Please do not expect it working on your platform immediately. Before you will use it, please remove all previous installations of Be OpenPhone, ohphone and othe applications which use pwlib/openh323 libraries.

When we will see it as a stable version, we will announce it and will release it in BeOS package format.

Also two version will be available - free one and paid version. Paid version price will be similar to those for complex advanced BeOS applications. We spent so much time bringing YOU and whole BeOS community VoIP/videotelephony application for BeOS, we feel we can be rewarded :-). We reserve the right to vary price for the product depending on current market situation.

Perhaps we will release two sets of binaries: for BeOS R5 + BONE and other one for Zeta. We found that 1) BeOS R5 wihout BONE codebase is too different from BONE-based codebase for us to support and lacks a lot of crucial functions. 2) Available for download versions of BONE for R5 are not as stable as Zeta one. 3) Media Kit on Zeta is a bit more stable to use.

We in Dinsk Ltd, a UK company, are totally dedicated to pursuing development of VoIP application for BeOS/Zeta and hopefully our first stable version will be here soon.

Let us know, what you think of the product and what will bwe the price you ar ewilling to pay for full stable version. Our contacts are: http:///www.dinsk.co.uk/forum. You can leave us a message or two, publicly or privately.

We are open to any investments and/or partnerships. We have vast potential and experience designing and developing different products, including VoIP and videoconferencing solutions to BeOS/Zeta, Linux, embedded Linux, Windows, Windows Mobile (Pocket PC, Windows CE) and more.

Our primarily area of expertise for 5 years is openh323 project.

The OpenH323 project aims to create a full featured, interoperable, Open Source implementation of the ITU-T H.323 and SIP 2.0 teleconferencing protocol that can be used by personal developers and commercial users without charge.

Drop us a line if you want us to start a new project or product design, require support for an old product, or ask us what exciting ideas we have for future (we do, actually, have those ideas!).

Best!
