About fixinc:
This utility converts all DOS #include paths into BeOS friendly paths (and vice versa) Can also drill through files in current directory and subdirectories. Its fast.
Usage
=====
Install fixinc to /boot/home/config/bin
fixinc filename beos <= Converts all DOS #include paths to BeOS paths
fixinc filename dos <= (reverse) Convert BeOS #include paths to DOS
fixinc -drill beos <= Drills through all files in current directories and subdirectories.
fixinc -drill dos <= Ditto.
This utility was developed to address a cross-platform pathing issues I had with C/C++ code.
The M$ world uses backslashes for path navigation, while the Unix world use forward slashes.
The Cygwin compiler for Win9x is path antaganostic (sp), while Borland C and Visual C
choke on "/dir/file". Likewise, Linux and BeOS cannot navigate to "dirpath".
This program will search ".c", ".cpp" and ".h" files for the #include keyword,
and replace all '' characters with '/' until a newline character is met (and vice-versa).
ie.
#include "..dirpath" <=becomes=> #include "../dir/path"
Source is included, feel free to use and modify.
PS. Why not use shell scripting? You cant teach an old dog new tricks :)
