ONGAKU, Turn your voice into a MIDI instrument under BeOS
After more than one year of work, the CANAM R&D team is proud to introduce ONGAKU, the first Audio to MIDI real time converter capable to transform your voice, - or any other monophonic signal -, into a MIDI controller. No more need for keyboard or for musical knowledge to play Music.
You just need a simple microphone to transform your voice on real time. You will play by the PC all the melodies your imagination can create. ONGAKU is able to interpret and convert all the nuances of your voice in MIDI, which ensures you a very faithful reproduction.
A NEW MUSICAL INSTRUMENT
Beyond its undeniable ludic aspect, OnGaKu proposes a new " live " approach of the synthesizers. Indeed, ONGAKU is an alternative to the MIDI keyboards because any monophonic instrument can be used and converted. For example, a simple pipe will be able to be transmuted into saxophone, church organ or electric guitar... We integrated into the software several algorithms that will improve the following of your voice or your instrument as well as possible. You won’t have to care about complex adjustments, a simple click will select the source type. Our engineers have placed several algorithms at your disposal :
· Male Voice
· Female Voice
· Acute Brass
· Guitars
· Bass
During the evolution of the software, other algorithms will be added to get even more adjustments by preserving all the initial ease of use.
AN EAR LISTENING TO YOU
ONGAKU listens to you... and displays on real time on the screen what it can hear;
· Its integrated oscilloscope displays the wave forms;
· Its virtual keyboard is dynamic: the keys display the notes played on real time;
· The nuances of plays are visualized on real time... very useful to learn how to sing, - or to play correctly.
Of course, all these nuances are used by ONGAKU to control your soundcard or your synth on real time. MIDI has never been so expressive!
