About Pineapple News:
Easy-to-use and fairly full-featured GUI newsreader. Supports binary attachments if you register.

Supports multiple server accounts, secure servers that require login information, and a signature file. Fast downloading will take advantage of all of your available Internet bandwidth. Works fine with BONE.

Supports decoding MIME and UUEncode binary attachments, including big ones that are spread across two or more messages. Does not yet support adding attachments to messages you post yourself. This feature is only available to registered users.

Has a killfile that can be used to ignore annoying posters. The killfile can be applied during downloads so that offending posts will not be received from your news server.

Each newsgroup can be set to download headers only or full articles. You can limit the number of articles or headers downloaded or "catch-up" a newsgroup, which sets its state to indicate that you've read all current articles without downloading anything.

Pineapple-flavored color scheme (see screen shots) that can be changed to suit your tastes.

Displays messages with or without threading, your choice. Unread messages are highlighted in bold. Messages that are already read are not displayed by default but can be if you want to see them. Displays full message headers if so desired.

You can create your own custom folders to save messages that interest you. Drag-and-drop is implemented for message files so you can drag them to and from newsgroups, your custom folders, Tracker, the trash, the desktop, and so on.

International character support is complete and works well.
