About Prophecy 3D:
Twilight 3D's Prophecy Multimedia SDK is a full, thoughtfully written and rewritten framework for building any kind of multimedia, games software, educational software, demos, visualization projects, etc. It is our attempt to save you the trouble of reinventing the wheel. (*Note: the 3D API requires the new GL API, if you don't have it, don't fret, you can still use the library w/ minor tweakin
What it will give you
Using the Prophecy SDK will save you the 7570 and counting man hours we've put into its development. Using it will save you the 2 years of constant writing and rewriting of the architecture, perfecting it for the ever-changing needs of the modern developer.
Prophecy's vector math classes contain not only the most common operators for adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing etc. vectors and matrices with eachother, but the vector class contains a total of 21 operators and 19 methods for handling vectors in almost any way imaginable. Its matrix class contains 12 operators and 58 methods.
Our multi-platform 2D and 3D device architecture contains 17 simple methods for doing anything with the video surface, on every supported platform.
Our platform independent file support, keyboard/mouse/joystick controller support, audio support (*initially introduced in the beta), our video codec support (*initially introduced in the beta), image format compression and decompression support, and many other useful components, build the most valuable combination we could
come up with.
This, together with the high-level 3D engine built on top of Prophecy that we will release a few weeks from now, represent superb value that we would've normally charged anything up to $28,000 for, per license. But since we felt we owed you, the developer, something
special, we are giving it to you absolutely free, with full C++ and ASM source code.
Currently the SDK is supporting BeOS and Windows as target platforms, but thanks to our fulfilling work with other like-minded developers, we are constantly working on adding new platforms. And if you have a favourite platform you would love to port the library to, for everyone's benefit (and for your fame), let us know.
We hope you will at the very least download it and try it out. And if you really want to make our day, use it for creating something that produces value for yourself and other people around you, and let us know about it!
