About Blender Network Rendering:
This is the BeOS binary package release for the open source Blender Network Rendering project. The goal is to speed up the animation rendering process by distributing scenes over multiple rendering machines. The render daemon is being developed both by volunteers and NaN. Note that this is a work-in-progress.
Detailed Information
This is the BeOS binary release for the Blender Network Rendering project.
Currently, this port (and the entire project) is still very much in the development phase, and the binaries are not yet fully functional.
The project is open source and controlled by the blender team. The Blender project leader is Hans Lambermont, (hans@blender.nl)
I have volunteered to help with the NSPR and renderd binaries for the BeOS platform.

You are encouraged to modify/improve/change the source code, and send updates/patches to Hans.
Some gory technical details
The renderd and broker are both written in C and are multi-threaded.
They interface with each other and the outside world via sockets. stdout / stderr are used for debugging info.
The networking protocol is ascii based and connection-oriented.
The platform independent networking, multithreading, etc. library is NSPR (see Mozilla).
