About Lumberjack:
A system log collector and viewer, similiar in concept to the Event Viewer in Windows NT/2000
Lumberjack provides a system service for logging information. Developers who want their applications to send useful information to the user, and let the user know that there are things going on can use this app.
Client code is included, which lets the client application log messages to the service.
The service lives in the deskbar as a replicant. Lumberjack includes powerful searching and sorting features for finding precise logfile entries. Multiple search windows are supported, and search terms can be phrased using Perl Compatible Regular Expressions.
The Log Viewer can be left open if the user desires, and is live (meaning that messages which are sent to the service immediately show up in the viewer with no user refresh needed.) This is useful for debugging applications.
Future plans include prettier displays, better search support, and support for application icon displays in log messages.

Details about this version:
Version 1.1 has several improvements, but most notable are the new Log view display and the iconic representations. Also, a "Clear log items" was added to the right-click menu. This is much easier than the old way of deleting the file and restarting everything. Also some bugs were squashed.
