About SimpleEnc:
A simple script to take a cd track and rip it to wav and then, encode that wav to mp3. Supports ripping a single track, multiple tracks or an entire CD. Is an extremely lightweight script, and once it starts the ripping requires no more user intervention, freeing your time up. The code is very 'quiet' to save all your resources for the encoding proper.
YOU MUST HAVE CDPARANOIA AND GOGO INSTALLED TO USE THIS SCRIPT (Both are excellent programs, versions available on the wonderful BeBits(www.bebits.com)). Ensure you have placed either the CDPARANOIA and GOGO executable binaries in /boot/home/config/bin (or if you feel game /boot/beos/bin)
Originally an application written for Linux, particularly the BASH shell, this is the port to BeOS (ahhh, scripting is so nice for portability).
Enjoy
