About SimpleGallery:
Turn collections of digital images into fully customizable web sites with long and short captions for each image. Thumbnails are created and placed on an index page which links to individual pages for each image in the directory.
"About" text is read in and inserted into index page. Long and short captions stored in attributes of JPEG images are inserted into the HTML pages. Tiled backgrounds are drawn from a backgrounds folder.
Requires Python, the Python fsattr module, and Thumber.
This is a Python script based on work by James Garrett - I took this over with his permission June 2001 and added many new features.
