About BeSpamFilter:
bemaildaemon add-on for screening incoming mail by use of a correspondent list. An auxilliary app is included for building the correspondent list.
From the README file:
First, this package depends on the use of the bemaildaemon, an open source project hosted on SourceForge, and also released on BeBits. I've tested this version on my computer with the version of bemaildaemon released on Nov. 21, 2001, labeled V2.0a2.
BeSpamFilter operates by maintaining a list of known correspondents. Incoming mail is inspected and only reaches your "in" folder if it comes from one of the correspondents on that list. Messages that don't qualify are routed into another folder, which I call Limbo.
Messages in Limbo can be examined from time to time to see if any are likely to be of interest. of course, you can always open any message in Limbo. There's also a facility for adding the sender of a message in Limbo to your correspondent list. In practice, I find myself looking at the Limbo directory every day or so. Almost always I trash all of the messages there without opening any.

Details about this version:
This release corresponds to release 2.0 Beta 1 of bemaildaemon, which was released to BeBits on Feb. 12, 2002.
The primary change is that mail messages routed to Limbo now arrive with the disposition "Read", so they are not counted as new messages. This is a great improvement, entirely due to a change in the new version of bemaildaemon.
