About pslpr:
A shell script to provide an lpr-like interface to Ghostscript, allowing easy printing of Postscript files to Ghostscript-supported non-PS printers.
REQUIRES GHOSTSCRIPT! Ghostscript is a command-line app that can interpret Postscript files for non-Postscript printers (including ones BeOS does not natively support--Ghostscript is its own printer driver). This shell script just provides a friendly "front end" to Ghostscript. If you also have xicon, you can set up pslpr to print files through drag-and-drop. Jake Hamby's Ghostscript port should support DeskJet 500/600 series printers (color and mono), DeskJet 1200, some PaintJets, LaseJet IIp/III/4, and some Canon BubbleJet printers. (I have only tested Ghostscript on my own DeskJet 600C.)
The documentation also includes a little more information about Ghostscript for the uninitiated, and directs you to documentation that Jake Hamby's port includes that may let you "tweak" pslpr's settings on your own.
