About Sybase/MS SQL Server Connectivity:
Connectivity for BeOS BONE and Sybase and Microsoft SQL Server database servers.
The FreeTDS and SQSH bundle on BeBits hasn't really inspired many people. It provides connectivity from BeOS BONE to Sybase and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
Maybe the name puts them off? Who knows.
So i set up this BeBits page with a more interesting name so that maybe people would get inspired and download it.
I can report that i have used BeOS to connect to the following databases using FreeTDS and SQSH:
- Microsoft SQL Server 7 on a Windows 2000 server
- Microsoft SQL Server 2000 on a Windows 2000 server
- Sybase ASE 11.03 on a Sun Solaris 2.51 Server
- Sybase ASE 11.9.2 on a Solaris 2.7 Server
- Sybase ASE 12.0 on a Solaris 2.7 Server
- Sybase ASE 11.9.2 on a Mandrake Linux Server
Read the readme.txt in /boot/home/freetds after expanding the archive for more info or have a read of this.
Enjoy!

Details about this version:
latest FreeTDS version 0.60. Yes it IS the same as FreeTDS/SQSH bundle but with a nicer name. Catches the eye in that the name shows what it does whereas the FreeTDS name needs further investigation by the curious user.
This version fixes up some TDS 7 issues with MS SQL server. As usual Sybase being the robust product that it is....well...it just works.
