About What Is The Matrix?:
Short command-line application that allows to perform some tasks on matrices. Useful for students who study Linear Algebra and don't want to spend time reversing big matrix or calculating determinants, and also useful for students who study ANSI-C programming.

This command-line application allows to calculate sum of two matrices, to substract one matrix from another, to multiply one matrix by another - or by a scalar, to transpose a matrix, and - the most useful options - to print a determinant and to reverse a matrix, if it's reversable.
Currently there are two versions of the application - one written in old ANSI-C, and another - in ANSI C++. I compile the applications for Intel platform, and Brian Francis - to PowerPC platform (thanks!!!).
The implementation is not too elegant, and source code lacks comments, but it's useful if you don't want to calculate minors by hands... (And those who know what is minor surely don't want to calculate it by hands! ).

Feedbacks are welcome!
Latest Version

Details about this version:

The next version of "What Is The Matrix?".

Introduces fully rewritten code in ANSI C++ that compiles on BeOS, Linux and Windows. The program is basically two classes ("Matrix" and "Fraction", which is a cell in the matrix) and small "main" function that directs the input to proper methods. You developers are welcome to use these classes in your programs, but beware of GPL license!

Basically the algorythms are same then in version 1. Students may find here operators and functions overloading, recursion etc.. For the full list of changes see the "readme.html" file included in each archive.

Thanks to Brian Francis for the PPC port.

NOTE: CURRENTLY THERE'S NO WAY TO DOWNLOAD THIS PROGRAM.
