About cfv+fchecksum:
cfv is a utility to both test and create .sfv, .csv, .crc and md5sum files. These files are commonly used to ensure the correct retrieval or storage of data.
This is cfv-1.12 compiled with python-fchksum-1.6.1. It can be used for the verification of files.
Compiled against Python-2.1 on Intel BeOS 5.0 PE.
Installation Directions:
Make sure you have python 2.1 (or else compile it yourself).
Unzip to /boot
(You can easily get the source and compile it yourself).
Self-Compile Directions:
-Get cfv-1.12.tar.gz & python-fchksum-1.6.1.tar.gz. (The links are on the bottom of this page)
-Extract them.
-Open python-fchksum-1.6.1 in Terminal
--run ./configure
--then python setup.py build
--(make sure this step is successful! Python complained that unable to execute /boot/home/config/lib/python2.1/ld_so_beos: No such file or directory --- A quick search found ld_so_beos in /boot/home/config/lib/python2.1/config/, so I just copied it to the location given in the error)
--then run python setup.py install
-Open cfv-1.12/Makefile.
--Change the second line to prefix=/boot/home/config
--and the eleventh line to install=/bin/install -c
--then open terminal, cd to cfv-1.12, and type make install.
-You're all set!
