About VIA Rhine driver:
VIA Rhine driver installer package
This driver is for the VIA Technologies VT3042/VT86C100 (ID 3043) "Rhine", VT6102 (ID 3065) "Rhine II" and VT6103 (ID 3065) "Tahoe", and VT86C100A (ID 6100) "Rhine" PCI Fast Ethernet Controllers. May also work with the VT6105 "Rhine-III" (ID 3106) chip but this is untested.
Covers the following NICs (and probably many others):
A-Open/Acer ALN-320
D-Link DFE-530TX (all VIA versions, but NOT DFE-530TX+)
Hawking Technologies PN102TX
This driver has been tested on D-Link DFE-530TX (ID 3043 and ID 3065) only at this stage. Support for the VT6102 is for DFE-530TX Rev A5 and above, I believe this is the first driver to support the VT6102.
How to know whether you need this driver:
In device preferences click on ethernet device, select Configure and check the info page for the device. If the vendor ID is 1106 (Via Technologies) and the card ID is 3065, 3106 or 6100 then try it out.
The vt86c100 (ID 3043) "Rhine" is already covered by the BeOS R5 vt86c100 driver, but I have included support for it so that this driver can completely replace the original eventually. If you have this card you'll end up with two drivers installed for the same card. Disabling the original in the network settings panel works OK, just clear the settings for the original driver and set parameters for the new one. You will need to restart networking from the control panel. The advantage to using this driver rather than Be, Inc's vt86c100 driver is that it seems to cure the "Broken Pipe" error when using CVS.
Other comments:
1. The driver is not yet entirely stable, if it locks up then just restart networking.
2. Support for the onboard VT8233 Southbridge (ID 3065) is currently in progress.

Details about this version:
Experimental support for VT6105 "Rhine-III" (ID 3106) included. If your card has this chip and the driver works, some feedback would be great.
