About Intel EtherExpress Pro 100 (eepro100) Ethernet Driver Patch for PCI ID 1031:
Ethernet Driver Patch for ID 1031.

Welcome
--------------
The 4th Version of the eepro100 Driver... This time for PCI ID 1031, working on a Compaq Presario 2700!

Attention
-------------
This is not the actual Driver, nor is it the Sourcecode to the Driver, it is just a Patch for the original Driver included in Beos R5 to replace a current PCI ID by a new one (1031)

Sorry for misunderstandings ;)

Other Patches
-----------------------
Scroll down and you can find other Patches in the Reference Section!

Also a word on how to change the PCI ID yourself:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Open up the install.sh script and look at the two long HEX Values... The first one is the orginial in the Driver, the second one is the one replacing the first one...

The only difference in the two lines is the PCI ID! You have to write the two parts reversed! That means instead of 1031 you gotta write 31 10 in that file... After you changed it to the PCI ID you need (You can get that from the Device Manager) you can start install.sh and patch up to your own PCI ID!

If you got a EEPRO100 with another PCI ID than this one and the other ones in the Related Links Section please post it at Bebits or send it to me via mail!

Addition (March 7th 2004):
To find out your PCI ID you can use the "Devices" Program in your Preferences menu... In the list choose your "Network" adapter then choose the "Info" tab and there it is: Your "Card ID". This is equal to your PCI ID.

Have fun ;)

Addition!
------------

I just released an application enabling you to patch your driver yourself...
