About via-cpu:
Enables VIA C3 CPU MTRR-writecombining for graphicscards.
This driver and app are based on a Be Newsletter article from the R3 days (which is included).
Still applicable today for unsupported CPU's for for instance WriteCombining on writes to the graphics memory: in this case the VIA C3.
Speeds up access to your graphicscard by 200-400%(!)
NOTE: this is experimental stuff, but if it works for you, it should be absolutely stable.
