About QEMU:
These are the BeOS and Haiku ports of QEMU. QEMU is a generic and open source processor emulator which achieves a good emulation speed by using dynamic translation.
The Haiku version is up to date and includes most features also found on all other supported platforms. The package also comes with the kqemu accelerator, which greatly improves performance in most cases. The BeOS versions are old and aren't updated anymore. They are working and have reasonable performance, so they should be fine for most uses.

Variation description:
This is the Haiku version of the QEMU port. It supports most features much in the same way as on other platforms. It has a native GUI and audio backend. This enables proper key mapping for example without the need to mess with keymap files. They are still provided for VNC though.
Details about this version:
We're stuck at the 0.11 series, as they removed kqemu support from the newer series. We'll need kvm later on it seems...
