About Paladin:
Paladin is an open source integrated development environment (IDE) modelled after BeOS' BeIDE. It provides features not present in BeIDE and is intended to be a complete replacement for the beloved, venerable tool.

If you like BeIDE, you'll like Paladin even better. The interface is streamlined, it has some features sorely missing from BeIDE, like running a project with command-line arguments, and has a bundled text editor based upon Pe.
1. Development Branch
version 1.1.0 - BSD/MIT

Variation description:
This is the development version of Paladin. As such, it is not guaranteed to be anywhere near as bug-free as the stable version, but it also carries with it more features. These packages will work for BeOS R5, Zeta, and GCC2 builds of Haiku.

Details about this version:
New Features

- One-click project backups
- Makefile generation
- A Preferences window has finally been added along with a number of useful options
- A code library is now available to for creating code modules to aid in code reuse
- Shell script support - scripts are executed at the end of the build process
- Support for Rez files
- Drag and drop support for entire folder hierarchies
- Add resource files to your project just like any other file -- just enter a name

Lots of small user interface tweaks and internal improvements -- too many to list here. Check the WHAT'S NEW file in the package for a complete list!

2. Stable Branch
version 1.0.1 - BSD/MIT

Variation description:
This is the well-tested branch of Paladin. If you care more about a rock-solid development environment than new features, this is the one to go with. These packages will work for BeOS R5, Zeta, and GCC2 builds of Haiku. If unsure, use this version.

Details about this version:
A few bugfixes applied to the 1.0 stable build:

- Paladin quits properly if asked to build from the command line and there are no files that can be built
- Project files now keep their file type in Haiku (FINALLY!)
- Libraries in /boot/common/lib in Haiku are shown in the library window
- Project entries for libraries in /boot/develop/lib/x86 have their paths properly preserved

3. Stable Haiku GCC4
version 1.0 - BSD/MIT

Variation description:
These are packages only for Haiku built with GCC4. They will NOT work on BeOS, Zeta, or GCC2 builds of Haiku.

Builds for BeOS, Zeta, and "regular" Haiku can be found below.
