About NewsReader:
GNKSA-compliant news client with many options, an easy to use interface and other features.
Features include folders for message, including a folder full of messages you have sent in the past for reference, a Drafts folder for messages you want to complete at a later date, an Outbox folder with messages ready to send (which you may delete before sending) and a utility called NewsMonitor that displays which groups you have currently unread messages in.
Each group can be configured seperately, to download a certain number of messages, all messages or the same number of messages as every other group, when to expire each newsgroups messages, whether to display in the NewsMonitor utility, and whether or not it should download headers only or whole messages.
When viewing a newsgroup, you may sort by subject, author, date, attachments, flags or lines. Each message can be flagged, in which case NewsReader will not expire it. You may select to turn off threading, or you can only view threads you have made posts to (even if you made the posts in another client, e.g. Outlook Express for Windows, using the same name and e-mail address)
NewsReader also has full support for attachments, and will decode uuencoded and MIME attachments automatically, if they are valid. Messages spread over multiple articles can also be decoded. Also, if the attachment is an image that BeOS can decode, NewsReader will display it in the message window, below the message text (from which it can be dragged to a folder/other application). NewsReader will also send attachments via MIME format messages. MIME support also includes the ability to encode/decode foreign character sets.
NewsReader also has other options, including Single/Multiple window modes, font customization, configurable keyboard operation (e.g. SPACE for next unread message), colour schemes, searching, kill-filter, support for Word Services compatible spell checkers, space saving newsgroup selector (the subscribed newsgroup list does not take up valuable window space) and a multi-threaded UI.

Details about this version:
Small update, with various bug fixes, as well as an update to the message list view to display the estimated file size in bytes as well as dynamic updating of the message counters. Expect more soon :)
