About ProTracer:
ProTracer is a simple ray tracer written i C as course project in the cource "Methods of programming, part 2" given at Uppsala university.
Runs in the shell. Is probably possible to run in R4.5 and R4 though I compiled it using R5.
Reads povfiles from stdin (makes things a bit easier with flex).
Writes ppm files
usage: tracer < "pov-file" outfile.ppm
there are some more options, type tracer --help
To rebuild just type "make" as usual.
The source is tested in Solaris 7 Spac and BeOS 5 and BeOS R4.5.2, but should probably complie fine in Linux....
I hope someone will find this useful, like finding out how a ray tracer works, but remember, it is NOT inteded as a "real" ray tracer, use povray for that :-)
