Arianne is a virtual world. It’s a massively multiplayer role playing game you access through an Internet connection. You choose your own virtual life and immerse yourself into a huge, wild new world, where you have an unprecedented degree of freedom to shape your own destiny.
This new version of Arianne has a better and more stable CORE.
Although from user view, it is a back step as we have remove some features from 0.3.x branch.
We expect to achieve faster our objetives ( http://www.arianne.cx/about ) thanks to the new CORE.
This release is NOT PLAYABLE, only chat and move over a 50 Km^2 terrain.
Anyway we would like that you download it and submit as any problem that you find with it as this code is going to be used for the playable version.
Please Arianne need SDL-1.1.6 and Bzip2-1.0.1, only those or newer versions are going to be supported. Also it requieres SDL_mixer and SDL_net.
You need both SOURCE and BINARY

Arianne 0.3.9.2 released
This development branch is OFICIALLY dead, we are going to start from scratch in Arianne 1.0.0
I told that the 0.3.9 version where going to be the last of this development but due to some problems with the code I have released this update as a patch to 0.3.9.1
So just untar it 0.3.9.1 and then untar 0.3.9.2. Now follow instructions that comes with Arianne.

We are also looking for C/C++ developers, graphics designer and crystal space developers for Arianne 1.0.0 .
You don't need experience only some free time to spare in Arianne.
We are now doing in the design stage of Arianne 1.0.0. Even if you are not a developer you can read the specifications, it rocks!!!.
The lastest version of the design document is 1.0.7

I told that the 0.3.9 version where going to be the last of this
development but due to some problems with the license type of Roxie
and also because of the collaboration of Mike with a new graphics.

Also I found that BeOS users hate the terminal, so I reparied this
to be able to run from Tracker. Also it run now from the KDE or GNOME
file managers.
Under Windows there is no problem because it do a chdir before
executing the app. ( some waves for Bill ;-) )
We are also looking for C/C++ developers, graphics designer and a
crystal space developer for Arianne 1.0.0 .
You don't need experience only some free time to spare in Arianne.

Final version of the 0.3 branch
To run the apps in BeOS you need to unzip it to the selected place and then, open a Terminal, go to the directory where you unzip it, let's say /boot/apps/arianne
So you should do cd /boot/apps/arianne/bin
Now just simply type ./ArianneClient
We are working hard to fix this issue.
