• I've removed the thumbnail browsing features. Other applications do it far better.
• The plugin features have been removed. Nobody seemed to use it.
• I've added an extra viewing mode - Image scaled to window, so that's a feature that's worth the new version.
• The settings file is now text - but I don't think that will help anyone.
• Modified the fullscreen mode.
• *Fixed a lot of bugs and inconsistencies*
• Added CD-ROM support for image loading.
• A return to the original goals of this project.

I think it's worth upgrading to this version. My thanks to everyone who likes peek and sends me comments.

The last version should not have been released and there were many mistakes in the release. I had a look at it recently and felt so bad that I've decided to pre-release the next version as 0.69.

New stuff:

• Folder plugins - I've included a plugin that can convert whole directories (or parts of it) to any format you can support. There is documentation on how to make plugins. The format will not change so you can, if you like, make a plugin which will be carried through for many versions.
• Proper thumbnail browsing - The last version just created an index image. This version actually has thumbnails you can select and drag & so on. It's sucks memory and is slow. (at the moment.)
• Cropping images.
• "Save as" menu command put back in.

• Multiple language support.
• Thumbnail image generation.
• Different layout. (Menu's and options)
• More options.

• Mouse wheel support added. yay.
• Removed the background setting bug.
• Fixed the slider bar problem.
• Added some small alterations which make it more useable.
• Additional threading of the file list (ie. it's faster now.)
• Better HTML help pages - still under construction.

• Please note: Two or three keyboard mappings have changed to correspond to other BeOS applications.
• Peek now accepts files sent to it via Tracker. This was a major oversight in previous versions. So you can launch Peek by double-clicking on a file in tracker if you set it as your default image viewer in FileTypes.
• Peek now also has the option to launch into a compact mode when loaded this way. It's very similar to ShowImage's setup.
• Peek handles very large directories now.
• There was a bug in the desktop background manipulation routines. This has been fixed and an extra check put in place. You can also now set all of the desktops to the selected pic instead of just the current one.
• You can now adjust the width of the file list and the image view by the means of a "slider" between the two but I wouldn't recommend using it.
• The file list can now be hidden.
• There are a couple more options to control the way Peek works.
• Clipboard functions have been added.
• A few memory leaks have been fixed.
