Version 4.0 includes better optimizations for particular processors, including Pentium-IV (the archive contains only binaries compatible for all Pentium-class processors, you *should* rebuild to optimize for your particular system and you will require an uplevel assembler and/or compiler). Other new features include a C++ wrapper, printf and scanf variations for multiprecision, a perl wrapper, and numerous new functions and improvements of existing ones.
