Update of the MNGTranslator compiled against the libmng 1.0.5 beta 1. (however we realy don't support any of those new spiffy features :P)
This ver also contains checkbox in its prefs in DataTranslators to Handle PNG format as well as mng/jng files. It seems libmng is pritty good at png and given the history of the png tanslator you may with to turn this on, however is isn't on by default.

.so files are the devil... but after some exsotic punishment and a few people to test it out, I think the dragon is put down.
So, if you have any more troubles, please email me. This ver shouldn't need the zlib stuff but it does need the libjpeg (included) and libmng (link bellow)
Also I added some links to the JNG/MNG test images on the libmng home page...

We nolonger take control of PNG translation, it now defaults back to whatever PNGTranslator is installed (future ver may alow user to toggle this setting)
Althoug 100 people downloaded it nobody seemed to miss zlib (I assume they all found it ok :P) but just because, I have included it with this distro.
I fixed up the souce and speed things up a little, added more stuff, remever some other stuff. Main fix was that we now deal with MNG (animated JNG files) in a much better way. Due to the animation and steamed chunks of the *NG format previous ver sometimes looped forever. Well .. that nolonger happens. We now return just the first frame.
Cleaned up and documented the code for future release when write support has been added :)

This ver support JNG/MNG/PNG files. MNG is a animated format so like that Gif format it will only display the first frame. This ver also (due to the nature of MNG) built in PNG reading support. Thus it will take control of reading PNGs on your system (the old PNG trans will still be used to write however)
This ver does not yet have support for writeing MNG/JNG files, but that shouln't be too hard right?
This requires you to have the libmng.so installed on your system along with the zlib.so
