Version 0.9
 License:   GPL
 Updated:   February 12, 2003
 Source:   Source Available
This is probably nearly the last release. I'm waiting for feedback before bumping to 1.0. Source code and a BONE build of Ffmpeg are available on the DVDRip homepage.
  • Back to the libdvdread/libdvdcss method, which is quite more flexible.
  • CLI and GUI mode are available
  • GUI allows to easily rip DVD titles or DVD files
  • Cleaner code, more tests; this release should be pretty more usable/stable than old ones
  • Includes a basic documentation for use with Ffmpeg

Version 0.5
 License:   GPL
 Updated:   January 31, 2003
 Source:   Source Available
* DVDRip no longer uses directly libdvdcss and libdvdread. All this code has been trashed, now DVDRip is no more than a front-end for the ripping capability of the VideoLAN client 0.5
* It can now send the data on the standard output (read: you can pipe it with ffmpeg)

Version 0.4
 License:   GPL
 Updated:   November 12, 2002
 Source:   Source Available
* Now DVDRip automatically changes the libdvdcss method if something goes wrong. It "should" work with most DVDs.
* Minor improvements

Note: if you have a lot of RAM, you should modify your disk cache size (see http://www.betips.net/chunga.php?ID=708). In this way DVDRip will probably be faster, and the system will eat less memory.

No change since 0.1, but this build should work for people who don't have BONE installed.
