No BeOS specific changes, for the official changelog see the included CHANGES file or view it at SourceForge.
The native GUI is recommended for text and graphical mode. It has some advantages like the "Paste" functionallity.
There is an idle-time patch installed that reduces the CPU usage to a minimum when the guest OS sets the emulated processor to idle mode (only if the guest OS supports this of course).

The native GUI is recommended for text and graphical mode. It has some advantages like the "Paste" functionallity. It has a unified keymap (keymaps/beos.map) that should work independant from your locale keyboard layout. It should always emulate a US keyboard (set your guest OS to use the US keymap therefore). All keys should work except some combinations like ctrl-f as these will be catched by the app_server and don't get to the application.
There is an idle-time patch installed that reduces the CPU usage to a minimum when the guest OS sets the emulated processor to idle mode (only if the guest OS supports this of course).

Notes: The input_server add-on is not installed anymore and the input devices will not be locked anymore when BeBochs stops. This release should work on plain BeOS R5 with net_server and up.
There is an idle-time patch installed that reduces the CPU usage to a minimum when the guest OS sets the emulated processor to idle mode (only if the guest OS supports this of course).

It has a unified keymap (keymaps/beos.map) that should work independant from your locale keyboard layout. It should always emulate a US keyboard (set your guest OS to use the US keymap therefore). All keys should work, even the menu keys or combinations like ctrl-alt-del or alt-f4.
Notes: To enable better mouse input for the native GUI an input_server add-on is installed along the application. You will have to restart your system (or at least the input_sever) to get it loaded. Please remember that the input is grabbed right from the server and if, for some reason, the emulation stops (the guest OS produces a panic for example) you cannot use your keyboard and / or mouse. To get the input devices back hit ctrl-alt-del once and press cancel.
There is also an idle-time patch installed that reduces the CPU usage to a minimum when the guest OS sets the emulated processor to idle mode (if the guest OS supports this of course).

This is the most recent version of Bochs for BeOS (BeBochs). I applied an old patch to the native BeOS GUI by Marton Fabo, but had to mostly rework it to adapt to the newly supported screen resolutions. The native GUI is therefore experimental but consumes far less CPU than the SDL one.
To enable input for the native GUI an input_server add-on is installed along the application. You will have to restart your system (or at least the input_sever) to get it loaded. Please remember that the input is grabbed right from the server and if for some reason the emulation stops (the guest OS produces a panic for example) you cannot use your keyboard and / or mouse. To get the input devices back hit ctrl-alt-del once and press cancel.
As there are some issues with doubleclicking and keyboardmapping on the native GUI I recommend the SDL GUI for guest OS's with a graphical interface (i.e. Windows or Linux with X), but for console only guests I highly recommend the native GUI since it doesn't do full redraws all the time.
There is also a idle time patch that reduces the CPU usage to a minimum when the guest OS sets the emulated processor to idle mode (test it with a Linux or Haiku floppy image).

Same as before, except you can now choose the SDL display library in the .bochsrc file to use the SDL GUI instead of the native BeOS one.

Since there wasn't a recent version of BeBochs arround here, I compiled the 2.0.2 source under BeOS 5.
It's quite fast and it works even with a plain BeOS 5.0.1 PE.
