This is X11 R6.4.3. It includes the modifications from the GeekGadgets 6.3 port, applied to the 6.4 source.
This package has 4 advantages over the previous 6.3 .tar.gz edition:
1. It's compiled against BeOS 4.5.2.
2. It's R6.4 with all three patches..(mouse-fix, refresh, etc.).
3. It's a .pkg, so you just double-click to install it.
4. It's been compiled with the directory: /boot/apps/GeekGadgets/X11R6.4
#4 means you no longer need to ln -s /usr...
You still MUST have the lib directory in your LIBRARY_PATH, and the bin directory in your path. See the BeWine FAQ for more details.
For all of you lurkers out there who want to help with BeWine, NOW is the time. I am hoping to revive BeWine (again) and this time the idea is to seek NDA with Be Inc. so that we can get access to BONE and avoid costly workarounds for the few important things BONE will solve. Please try to install and run this version of X11 and report any problems you see to me. xclock, twm, and xterm are known to work.
