Transmission 0.3 is feature-wise similar to 0.2, it is mainly a bugfix release:

  • Fixed "Sometimes sends incorrect messages and looses peers"
  • Fixed "Crashes with many torrents or torrents with many files"
  • Enhancements in the "End game" mode
  • Is nicer to the trackers
  • Asks for the rarest pieces first
  • Miscellaneus bugfixes and internal enhancements

It basically works (download, upload, resume...), although several tracker protocol extensions are not supported.

The R5 build does not support incoming connections and the net_server might suck a lot of CPU when you are connected to a rather large number of peers.

The Zeta build will run on both R5/BONE and Zeta.
