Well. Here you go. Another niffty ver. What did we add? Kewl stuff :P Many of you noticed a big problem when scanning IPs that were down. Well now we do a ping check befor we scan. This speed things up big time. The other Realy kewl thing we added was YTabView. This now alows up to change tabs and keep on working in the back ground. So you can now scan and then jump over and do a WebSpeed. Speeking of - I update webspeed to have nice little graph output instead of all that text. You can still see that text via a toggle check box. Thanks to Caitlin we now have a realy nice Logo. And finaly for all those people who send me requests for docs. We now have Docs included with the archive and on the web. (see link at bottom)

Fixed lots of bugs, did some niffty stuff, and ... ofcourse ... added Webspeed. Webspeed in a wonderfull benchmark utility for seeing how fasy your webserver is. Thanks for Michael Nielsen for all his work he did on bringing WebSpeed to PortSpy, Thanks man.
I have also updated WebSpeed to now use Multiple threads (Note that haveing severl threads accessing one page several times ould cause webserver overload)

Long time no update :)
Well one with the stuff I added. The niffy thing is the finger tab. its just like any normal finger, but it seemed that PortSpy needed one. I also have added lots of whois servers to the list. If you have any you want added let me know. The Scanner now does a DNS lookup and puts the name of the IP you are scanning at the end of the port list. Along with that I am working on lots of kewl code to make a global IP history list and lost of other things.

--Traceroute is impossible-- It just cant be done. gone have to wait for Be to update the NetKit. rrrr Will still look into Hacks though to see if I can come up with somethign
Ok so traceroute is not in this ver .. so what is .. Ping.. Ping ping ping .yes we have ping.. dont ask how I did it - it just happend. Also I am working on some nice feature, like you can right click on found ports and open things like Net+,Telnet,Ftp if the port was found. I am also adding a 2nd portscanner based on UDP packets not TCP. This should speed things up. So look for that in the next ver. I am now also looking for someone with a PPC comeputer to mabey compile it for the "other" people. :)

This ver DOES NOT have trace route in it. :) I know you realy want it and I am working verry hard. Soon. See the readme.
What is in this ver. Fixxed all (that i saw) of the thread and BTabView problems. Added a DNS Lookup by Name/IP (verry usefull) It has smaller tabs and a new options menu (not much on it). Its much more stable and is just better all around. I will be puting up a artical on the use of the BTabView and its evils. They should be up on my page soon. This also should be the last release for a while (till ping). Thanks for ALL of the wonderful comments you sent me, I hope I can continue to bring quality apps to BeOS for ya there. Update. Added Whois Tab. Made Scanner Threaded !! It also now scans a range op IP's ... also the GUI nolonger locks up and you can stop the scan at any time .. big update.
BUG: If you are in Whois and it is transfering date and you click on another tab ... Crash (sorry its beta though so .. well)

Ahhh .. well its nowhere near complete. It is very usable though. I have much to do. Plan for another release soon.
This ver lets you scan a single IP and a range of ports. If drops the output in a nice little box and all. I have not completed the threading the way I like it so far so the GUI locks while scanning (sorry).
