Sometimes the application did crash during startup. It also sometimes did crash or hang and you couldn't eject the CD or close the window when a CD recording or simulation failed. These bugs have been fixed now!
This version is compiled without debugging code, so it should use about 20% less CPU power than previous versions, and should also be faster.
The recording buffer handling has also been rewritten, and performance with IDE systems should be much better now.

Data CD image files can now be written. You can create them for example using the application "CreateDeviceImage".
The volume peak level meter in file and project player now have a clipping indicator.
Some bugs have been fixed.
The new "Select All" hotkey is now "Alt+A".
The "Edit Artist" hotkey has been changed to "Alt+R".
An additional version is available that should provide audio playback with the correct speed on some VIA motherboards with AC97 sound chipsets.
If sound playback on your system is too slow, please try the AC97 version of
CD Manager.

Adds an integrated CD project player.
You can also apply fade-in & fade-out effects,
or modify start and stop postions of the audio
tracks. Gain can be changed, too.
Does now accept every soundfile BeOS supports,
and is no longer limited to 16bit 44.1Khz stereo
files.

BURN-Proof is now supported.
"Show Properties" of the "Device Preferences" window
tells you if your CD recorder does support BURN-Proof.
While running a simulation, the text "Simulation - mode"
will be displayed in the recording status window.
You can now close the edit windows for artist, title,
pause, "Create New Project" and "Rename Project" by
pressing the ESC key.
Files and directories in the volume view are now listed
with directories on top.
Artist and title of the files in the project (destination)
view now use the BeOS "Audio:Artist" and "Audio:Title"
attributes of the corrosponding files.
They are updated if you change artist or title description.
If the attributes do not exist, they are created when you
add the file to the project.
If you rename artist or title, the filename of the
corrosponding file or symlink inside the project directory
is renamed to reflect the change.
If you change the project folder, or rename it, the "File"
row in the destination view will be updated and reflect the
change.
If you rename a file inside the project folder while
CD Manager is running, the "File" row in the destination
view will be updated and reflect the change.
If you change "Audio:Artist" and "Audio:Title" attributes
of a file inside the project folder while CD Manager is
running, the "Artist" and "Title" rows in the destination
view will be updated and reflect the change.
When CD Manager has expired, it will no longer refuse to
run, but only display a friendly update reminder and then
continue normal.

Some warning:
* Because of the project management change, it is possible
that already existing projects of an old CD Manager
version will not get loaded on startup. No files are
lost, but you need to create new projects and add the
audio files again. Sorry for the inconvenience.
