- Sound Prefs
- Highly configurable sounds prefs: some sounds let you select whether
the sound should Always be played when Baxter is not in focus, whether
the sound should be played when it occurs in the focus channel,
and whether it should be played when it occurs in a channel without focus.
- New sounds for when a user in your notify list comes online or goes
offline.
- Check box to disable Baxter's remote control features (QueryCLAmp will
not work if the remote control features are disabled, of course).

I added a lot of neat things to this release, but a lot of stuff originally planned for Baxter X is still missing. For more complete information about why it's missing and what's planned for Y, head on over to http://www.abisoft.com/Baxter/
- Baxter now checks to see if new versions are available. If you feel connecting to a web site everytime Baxter starts up is an invasion of your privacy, please disable the "Check For New Versions of Baxter" checkbox in preferences.
- /run command runs an command line application and sends its output to Baxter
- /rrun command does the same, but sends its output to everyone
- /uptime command tells everyone your uptime, /cuptime tells them in color
- Remote control:
Baxter now has the ability to allow other applications
to control it. Included in the x86 version of Baxter is an
application called QueryCLAmp. QueryCLAmp sends
text with the name and current position in the song that
CL-Amp is currently playing to whatever channel or
query window happens to have focus in Baxter. If
you're interested in writing other applications to control
Baxter, checkout the external control tutorial.
- Scroll wheel support: you can scroll up and down in the text display without giving it focus first
- Various bug-fixes with R5
- No more ghost users in the user list
- Various bug fixes with IRCNet
- If you change your nick manually with /nick before you're logged in, Baxter now behaves correctly

Lots of features in this version plus a couple bug-fixes.
- Fixed a bug with /me
- Added time parsing to whois
- Baxter calls /whois when you log on to find out your hostname, then uses it to tell other clients what computer to connect to. If you had problems with dcc in the past, they might have been remedied with this release.
- Click on the space between the channel display view and the user list to make the user list bigger or smaller
- Tabs only drag if you click and move 3 pixels vertically or horizontally.
- Implemented /away complete with sending messages to all the channels and
queries you have open
- Display away messages for users that gets sent when you /whois them or
message them
- Click on the Baxter logo and it sends you to the webpage
- Added color support to the channel topic and made it the same font as the channel text
- Made the status in the lower left the same font as the channel text
- Added color support to queries, the server view, dcc chats and anything else that might contain colors
- Fixed some bugs with bold
- Added "Always play Connected sound" to the preferences view. This is only useful if you checked the "Only play sounds when away" checkbox (see
BaxR's new features below for a description). Even if Baxter is the focus,
when this checkbox is checked the connected sound will still play.
- Added /ignore. Usage: /ignore nick to add to the list of users being ignored. /ignore nick to remove a user already on the list. /ignore by itself to list the users being ignored. (Still to come, saving the list of ignored users in a file somewhere).
- Add alt-up arrow in the channel/server/private/dcc view to scroll up in the text display box and alt-down arrow to scroll down.

I didn't do a good job of keeping track of added features and what I fixed, so this list isn't complete.
Added sound prefs
Added mirc and ircle color support. It only works if you go and enable it in the Baxter Preferences.
Fixed some bugs.
Added a couple more color prefs. If your colors look screwy when you
download Q, just go to the Baxter Preferences and reselect Baxter Classic or Light On Dark, or just do it by hand.

Moved logs into a directory called logs that Baxter resides in, also fixed
problem where logs were overwritten.
Added option so that when someone messages you, the window doesn't
automatically pop to the front.
Go to the color preferences view, you'll see a new place to select the nick
name / time stamp color.
