Binaries:
  Mesa's BeOS port libraries and demos programs. To use Mesa in place of stock BeOS's OpenGL, just drop the lib/lib*.so files into your /boot/home/config/lib folder.

NOTE: except for progs/beos/* ones, run demos programs from a Terminal. Some of them don't even show anything (or just very briefly) but report support/performance info instead.

Development release
What's new:
  • OpenGL 1.5 support (yep, vertext/shader programming...)
  • Usual bugs fixes, thanks bug reporters
  • Alpha BGLView::CopyPixelsIn/Out() support added
  • BGLView::SwapBuffers(bool vSync) support added
  • Double RGB buffering is now always forced
  • Updated GLU to 1.3 API by moving to SGI's open-sourced de-facto standard implementation
  • An updated GLUT 3.7 is now included, based on Jake Hamby's beta port
  • C headers files are now included for the braves who may want to take profit of new APIs
  • Several sample and test programs are now included for your entertainment. Except for BeOS native ones, better run them from a Terminal...
  • Libraries are now versioned, check your Tracker Get Info.

To try it as BeOS drop-in OpenGL replacement, move or copy libGL.so and libglut.so files from the zipfile lib folder to your /boot/home/config/lib folder.
Any new OpenGL or GLUT-based app launched will then use Mesa 6.1.0 instead.

To revert, remove or rename the /boot/home/config/lib/libGL.so and /boot/home/config/lib/libglut.so files.

NOTICE:
There is NO hardware acceleration support. Yet.
It's still an alpha quality port. Any feature can be buggy, crashy or just unsupported.
Feel free to help by sending detailed bug reports, patches, new code...

First Mesa BeOS port released since 3 years!

Since version 3.1, Mesa have made many improvements, and is now OpenGL 1.4 specification compliant. Here come a alpha state BeOS port release.

To try it as BeOS builtin OpenGL replacement, drop the libGL.so include in the zip in your /boot/home/config/lib directory. Any new OpenGL-based app launch will use this Mesa 5.0.1 OpenGL implementation instead.

To revert, just delete the /boot/home/config/lib/libGL.so

Please notice: there is no 3D hardware support. Yet. And still buggy.
