My current job is dictating my most current project. A wep application served by Linux/Apache/MySQL and written in PHP that handles all finacial transactions for the University of Wisonsin-Madison Geology/Geophysics Department.
Hobby projects are:
-console perl app: EnvPrint
-platform: *nix
--app for printing envelopes when its given a list of addresses

-platform: primarly for Linux, but any platform with X and gdk/gtk+
--adds the GUI to EnvPrint plus export and import features

-Port of EnvPrint to a Windows .HTA
-platform: Windows, requires Internet Explorer 5 and greater
--a port of EnvPrint and the GUI using the special Internet Explorer features and JScript. Mostly just a self tutorial into the world of Internet Explorer HTML Aplications. (very very neat by the way, even is one thinks M$ is evil)

-platform:PHP, Javascript, CSS, HTML 4.0i, DHTML, Database Conectivity, Internet Explorer functions(<IFRAME>, .HTA, etc...), JScript, VBScript
--a colection of libraries and classes that makes writing a dynamic webpage, or a dynamic interface to a web application, easy. Very simular to what MFC/OpenStep/etc... has done for making platform specific solutions, this allows the creation of platform independant solutions(with some minor exceptions like JScript, .HTA, etc...). Encourages the use of new technology by clients (web browsers) by using only new technology.
