InsideBeOS and Windows apps?!?! |

There is not too much new to report about the recent e-commerce upgrade. A few minor problems were found but they should be all fixed now.
A few days ago there was quite a bit of excitement when a couple of Windows programs appeared on BeBits. Worry not - we are not changing focus. Since we like to trust the community, developers can post applications and updates any time they want, without us having to approve them. This is a major benefit to BeBits as developers can get changes out there quickly and easily without having to wait for us to get enough time to actually approve everything. The downside, of course, is that it can be abused. Occasionally a program pops up that just shouldn't be on BeBits and it has to be manually removed. So if this happens again (and chances are good that it might), just take a few deep breaths and carefully send us a nice, calm message like this: "App ______ is for [Windows/MacOS/Linux/AtheOS/etc], please remove it before my head explodes." Thanks. :-)
