Another dead link, was looking for the one with the blue interface(1.1),lost that one soewhere.sad to see all these apps drying up,even getting hard to find them on beshare these days, really a shame here this is a great little musical toy, with a slightly different gui it would have been awesome(maybe a part that told you which note it was set on or in the instance of percussion which instrument, that was the main thing that kept this from being a tool instead of a toy)with Haiku on the way someone should be mirroring this stuff and even updating it

The reason I like this step-sequencer is not particularly the implementation (I agree interface aspects could be better), but the flexibility.
Sure you can do the old chaining two TB-303s sort of trick easily enough (just output to an analogue monosynth or software-simulated equivalent) but once you add the multiple launch, get a few going and link the clocks and triggering you can go way, way beyond that and essentially have programmable rythmns that start to sound like Taiko drumming or African polyrhythmns.
Please play around with this and you'll see what I mean. It will blow you away.
Someone really should do 'M'!

Sorry, I corrected missing links, so you can download
binaries of Q.
I compiled and tested this only on BeOS R5.0.3.
It may cause problem on other versions of BeOS.
Source are available, and this is entirely freeware.
you can modify it as you like.

hey. i also downloaded the source and compiled it (i586) and had no problems (no crash, maybe 586/686 difference is the key) with the resulting app. interface redraw seems faster than 1.0b, which is nice. thanks for a fun musical toy!

1) your links to the compiled program for x86 and ppc are broken. i downloaded from the source link and compiled (i686 smp).
2) the program crashes on exit. the debug says:
ec084853 read_fault
this is a very interesting program and fun to play with. i hope you keep improving it.
one low-priority feature request: knobs are kind of hard to use with a mouse. it would be great if they could slide out like the soundplay volume knob.
