Wow! It's just 15 years since I had a C64 and my first Mandelbrot - it took hours and days to compute the root Mandelbrot in 320x200x4 ... and nowadays, you can zoom in realtime with thousands of colors, high resolution with a standard PC :-)
This one is great! It has many knobs to adjust the several fractal types, also the way of inner and outer coloring, even animation mode! You have to see it!

Simply one of the best fractal programs around; the best for BeOS for sure. It has a simple interface and powerful scripting abilities that make it better than FRACTINT for many applications.

This program is a LOT of fun! While it may not have much of a real purpose in life, it's a great time killer. :-)
Part of what makes it so much fun to play with is that it has a ton of really cool features. You can let it run in autopilot or you can manually zoom into any area you want. And unlike most mandelbrot programs, this one allows you to zoom around in real time! There's also a load of options you can apply to the actual rendering of the formula from a cool 3D mode to motion blur effects.
You just have to check it out and spend some time playing with all the options. Great app!
