Hi all. I would like to know if opentracker can be installed on DANO, and if it cannot, where can I get a DANO version.

http://www.opentracker.org is now down, yep.
Like most all others Be Inc. web sites.

Use http://opentracker.sourceforge.net instead.

Getting there

I used this version for a long time & liked it but have had to go back to an older version. When you make a new folder it appears in a bad spot & while thats simply annoying I gave up the slick "free space" indicators on the volumes due to this version of Tracker does not restart properly when using Lock Workstation on my system. I have also had it do other odd things on other systems even though stand alone it runs great on this system. Some how on my other 2 systems it locks up the app server & corrutps thigs on boot. So I need to replace app_server & OT to the version b4 this & it no longer does this. There are a few glitches & annoying "bugs" or dislikes I have for it but I hope the next version fixes some of these things. Mainly how all the trackers to date dont seem aware of other files & folders in a directory. So you end up with files & folders hiding under eachother in icon view & so forth. I'm sure things will turn out great & for the guys that have been pluggin away at OT since Be made it open source thanks for the time guys, & keep up the good work! You Rule!

Agreed about PPC support, and: OT site seems to be down.

I just acquired a UMAX C500 Supermac. It runs BeOS! So I plan to do some BeOSing on it and one of the requirements is to have OpenTracker... so thanks for the PPC availability. I hope to get a Supermac S900 (the top of the line), upgrade it to a G3 or G4 and run both BeOS and MacOSX on it (yes there is a program out there that lets you run OSX on older Macs).

And NOTICE: The OpenTracker site seems to be down right now.

Thanks for the PPC version!

I really appreciate the availability of PPC versions of BeOS apps. Those of us with BeBoxen/Macs want to play, too!

Cheers!

Great !

The Open tracker is one major part of BeOS.

Unlike other apps, i'am glad to see than the project bring several devs.

Thanks to continue to enhance it !
