I am attempting to get an Epson Perfection 4870 scanner running. I have gotten it recognized both on Firewire and USB, but when I run scanit, I cannot scan. On clicking on prescan, a text block pops up saying "Unable to open driver!
Any ideas? I know that the scanner is a lot more sophistacated than the program,
but I had hoped for some minimal operation.
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

I have an HP ScanJet 5200C, and ScanIt doesn't appear to work with it. Are there any tips for getting these types of usb scanners to work? I know the model is supported in Linux ...

webtv-plus users need a link
To created access java-Script.
Is This Possible Now,Since MSN
took over webtv-plus as A Server?
If Our One webframe on webtv can
link onto A Super-Link,Or Something
that will give webtv-users Access
to Java-Script And Cookies.

I just got an Epson perfection 610U to replace my Umax whos drivetrain is
failing (again) and downloaded your software. After a few minutes of
futzing with the only setting (screen gamma) I'm getting quality scans.
Thanks!

Simple and efficiente application, even able to install a instant scanner's push button detector for easy scan session.
A great tool, if I'was Epson and want to include a software for add support under BeOs to this great scanner, I would add this one.
Hum... maybe I can call them !?
;-)
Phil, an happy ScanIt user.
