The correct link for CommuniGate Pro version 5.0.7 (January 2006) is:
ftp://ftp.stalker.com/pub/CGatePro/CGatePro-BeOS-Intel.pkg
ftp://ftp.stalker.com/pub/CGatePro/CGatePro-BeOS-PPC.pkg
Cheerio!

I have an account on my C'GatePro(Evaluation copy) server. It has 1000+ messages (each of 1KB size). When I try to access these mails from the same machine using Java,I get them in 5-6 seconds. But when I try to get them from a remote machine(which is in the LAN), it takes some 6-7 minutes!!! Is there some setting to be done on CGatePro server for POP3 module?
When same experiment is carried out with IMAP module, the results are similar when accessed from same/remote machine which is hardly 5-6 seconds.
I am failing to understand why it takes time for POP3 module only and not for IMAP.
Network speed is fast and ideally this should not take more than a minute.
Please suggest me if I have to do some setting on CGatePro server for POP3.

This thing is fast, full of features, and easy to setup.
If you use BONE you'll need to edit your old net_server network settings file to make sure the settings are correct. /boot/home/config/settings/network should be a plain text file. It's compiled for net_server but works fine with BONE as long as you update the old net_server network settings file with your current settings.
I can check email on my own servers account about 100x faster than my ISP accounts. I guess they don't use BeOS :P

There are actually newer version of this app available for both PPC and x86. If you click the download link, it will fail. However, you can delete the file name and it will display the entire directory. V3.51 for PPC and V3.5b9 for x86 are listed. Nice! ;-)

I have found what it has turned to be exactly what I was looking for at work. There is nothing. The BeOS version is perfect.
