I did try ghostscript, it redered the diagrams I spoke of beautifully. However, it left the text all un-anti-aliased and looking rather shoddy, any way to combine the two in a future version, that would be ideal, thanks.

The native renderer has some limitations, that are mainly caused by the BeOS graphics model.
A replacement is planned for 2003.
Please use the (alpha quality) Ghostscript renderer if possible in such cases.

Hint: Copy the file to you hard disk and open it from there. Viewing a file from CDROM is slow.

BePDF is a very elegant and useful application.
However, I would like it to support drawing lines and pictures much better than it currently does. At the moment lines and diagrams rarely show up, leaving gaps in documents, etc. Is there any way to fix this?
Have a look at the fifth page of this pdf:
http://www.maths.mq.edu.au/~wchen/lnfymfolder/fym02.html
There should be lines in that diagram about the triangle inequality.
I have encountered many instances of this happening, could you please fix it?
Thanks for the great app :^)

This is a great app. I agree with all the comments so far. The only problem I have had is that it hangs on large files. I tried to open the falcon 4.0 manual which is about 8Mb and waited about 5 minutes and then killed it. Maybe I was just not patient enough but the CD light had gone out (the file was on the game CD) and it really did not look like anything was happening.

BePDF renders excellently and some of the files look better than even Windows' Adobe Acrobat Reader... Apart from improvements in speed, I don't have any complaints about this great piece of work...
Many thanks to the developers!

Great PDF reader. I can view almost all of my PDFs in their original layout. At this point, the only complaint I have is that it seems to render a little slow, but it's bearable. I'd recommmend this application to any BeOS user.

I think I speak on behalf of most of the community when I say: We apreciate the dedication to this staple application!
It seems that more and more these days, applications in BeOS as important as a PDF viewer are rarely updated and upkept to a usability/utility level comparable to the Windows version, but BePDF is. Great job everyone who has made this possible!

I've monitored the progress BePDF has been making, and the version list alone shows how many updates have been made available. Each one had small but significant improvements which have led to BePDF becoming an indispensible addition to the BeOS.
Excellent work! I wish there were more developers like Michael Pfeiffer. Keep it coming, Michael!

Wow, this app sure is maturing nicely. I've used it since 0.2 when it was pretty rough. It's really come along great, and I find it more navigable than Adobe's Acroread.
