I recently discovered that on the simutrans homepage there is acutally a (far) newer version for BeOS available. It's up to the most current "stable" version (0.84.16.2) for all platforms.
There were also some builds for 0.82 some time ago and it even has a section for "previous BeOS versions" on the download page ;).
This was a very nice surprise as I like this game very much.

I asked the author to continue it a while back, as the site said the BeOS port would be continued on a BeOS user asking for it. And I *love* TTDLX for DOS, which this appears to be a clone of. I'll ask again

Is this port abandoned? I mean, Simutrans for Linux and Windows is up to 0.82.7 now.
