I spend some time working with it and it seems to work find with new features, but my machine is without proper gfx card so it is slow (no overlay advantage).
Will try to full-around some more and give better feadback (I think interface could be made to work a bit more quicker for VJing).
Keep up the good work!

John - Jeepers Elvis is one app I'm very glad to see continue - I really like your clean data-flow-oriented interface design.
As far as usefulness - I don't see this being directly useful for "video editing". Thats a good thing, imo - the other video markets are far more interesting, and I know plenty of VJs and visual artists who would like to see progs such as yours develop.
If you're looking for future ideas - may I suggest the following
A ) Present the plugin parameters as a BControllable medianode. This means you can control them from anywhere, including external hardware.
B ) Make some medianode input/output modules. I've got a very elementary videomixer node I've been working on, I can see you've got a lot further - and it would be great to be able to use Jeepers Elvis with other video apps in realtime...
If you want to discuss medianodes, the kit, or future plans, drop me a line ( unlyrn@world-net.SPAMFREE.co.nz )
Thanks,
David Shipman

I had noticed that the developer had the file hosted on a UT server, and so I e-mailed him at the likely e-mail address associated with it and got a reply...
------
>Since development seems to have stalled for the program, I was
>wondering if you could release the source code to the community,
>Jeepers Elvis! has the possibility of becoming the best video editing
>program for BeOS, and perhaps to beat video editing programs for other
>platforms.
Thanks for the interest. Even though I haven't made any significant
changes to JE! in two years, I'm still interested in developing it. I
have considered releasing the code, but that will only happen after I
have truly given up on the project.
As far as JE!'s usefulness for video editing, I just don't see it.
Editing is nowhere in the design and the amount of code that might be
helpful to a video editing program is quite small.

Sweet! He's still doing work on it... Big cheers to John :-)

Realy nice START of VideoMIXER app...
However it should be OpenSourced as coder didn't continue on upgrading it.
I love the interface very plane simple and intuitive,
but I miss a few features (and one major bug - FULL SCREEN mode didn't worked for me).
Is there any interests in restarting up development with this app? It could be wonderfull equivalent for SoundPlay in Video area!
Best,
Zeljko.
