just wish to tell you that i have lot of friends running BeOS on various nForce based motherboards.
Trick one:
When installing R5-based or Dano-based distro - disable UDMA in BIOS for first time. Disabling it in Safe mode options don't help.
Then, after installation of "IDE Replacement Driver" as system driver and running Bootman to write new boot sector, you can enable UDMA back.
Trick two:
APIC option for bus in BIOS should be off, it means, not automatic PIC but manual.
Trick three:
If you don't see some option in BIOS menus, some nForce-based motherboards may keep it hidden. Try Ctrl+F1 or Alt+F1 in first BIOS screen

I would happily take a look myself but would suggest for the best chance of getting attention this should be submitted to one of the community repositories (Haiku, BeClan, BeUnited etc)

R5 and Zeta RC3 are incompatible with my nForce2 mainboard, So I can't develop this translator anymore. A developer who wants to extend this piece of software may contact me for the sources...

It is nearly 4 years since the last update to this translator. Any hope there will be support for windows XP high colour icons?

Stas
