Is there a way to make it work with a proxy server?
Thanks.

Man I loved this thing, I was soo sad when it stopped working & I tried all kinds of crap to fix it. So is the working version available & has any one tried it on R5+BONE?

Hello fishpond. Glad to hear you were able to "fix" this little app. Would you make the binary for Zeta available? If you do not have where to put it, just send it to me by email (koki at aequus dot net), and I will post it online for others to download.
Cheers!

Running the code in a debugger shows that nothing is retrieved at all from the NOAA site. Looks more like a timeout than anything else. Or more precisely, the site seems to put a little break right into the header, which would confuse most automated parsers.
After changing the code to perform retries, the weather status gets to work again.
For the forecasts, BWeather checks response completion by looking for a lowercase html end tag while IWIN delivers that in capitals.
I compiled it in Zeta, where the http library is present by default and now again get reminded of the the existence of an outside real world...

According to Jim, Bweather is based on Gweather (Which seems to have experienced the same problem). The general thought is that NOAA changed their HTML, and the parsing code was geared towards seeing NOAA's HTML a particular way. Since the Author of Gweather is nowhere to be found, I don't see Bweather ever working correctly again - unless BeUnited wants to add it to their list of software to rewrite.

Hasn't worked for me in a while. Does anyone if maybe something like maildameons or other apps like tracker upgrades that might affect it somehow??? It seemed to quit working when I started adding all of these things. Probably not though!

I have not been able to retrieve weather info in several months. Perhaps the site where the program gets its weather info has moved. Has anyone peeked at the code to see where it got its info from?

BWeather stopped working on my machine earlier this year. Can anyone confirm the functionality of this great little application? If there is a problem, is anyone working on a solution?

I can't get BWeather work. Although I selected different Weather info locations, I get always a broken link icon.
Info shows me a lot of '?', except for Sky "No info" Conditions "None" and Wind "Calm"...

maybe it will be good if Query strings will be in user-editable file, so we can add there places not yet in list. Sure, those are, partially, in BWeather_locations in settings, but this isn't so clear.

Nicely put together piece of software, great work (even if you did rip off all the code, heh :) ) I would ask that in the next revision, consider adding a "How do I install this?" and instructions for getting it into the deskbar for the braindead luser :)

It's just a rare peice of software that works as advertized. No more, no less, no extra crap weighing it down... --Even if most of the code was hacked from other sources :)

It's nice to finally have a Be weather app! Right now, it's basic, but a great start, and I like the deskbar feature. There's a nice weather client for windoze called WinWeather that has a ton of features that would be nice to see in BWeather. The ability to select multiple cities, and view a national radar map are the features I like the most. I know some people will just say go to weather.com, but I've always found the National Weather Service forcasts to be much more accurate.
