Some details about your system would be usefull
CPU speed
Memory
BeOS OS Version
Video Card (Does it support overlay, is overlay turned on)
Video Width x Height
Also information about the movie you are playing, preferably somewhere I can download it from.
Also run it from a terminal and see what it says.

I tried this codec and compared it to the hybrid divx codecs and i noticed that this codec can't play movies without skipping frames (slightly) and using 100% cpu for a high quality divx 5 file.
I tried the same divx file using the hybrid divx codecs and it played smoothly with alot less cpu usage.
So i think this codec needs to be optimised even more to be useful.
anyone else have this problem?
I haven't tried the encoder yet though.

The results of the used compression method blew me out the water !
I've seen a DVD movie being compressed so it would fit on a standard CD, and after being burned to a CD still with an excellent playback.
This seems to be the way to go in video world.
And since Windows, Mac, Linux and the rest all will have their plug-ins, there will be a lot of users who can play the movies compressed in this way.
I will definitely keep an eye on this product.
