The PCI Soundblaster cards are incompatible with the ISA Soundblaster standard -- there's no ISA DMA available on PCI, hence it's impossible.
With no standard to follow, PCI soundcards tend to be incompatible with each other. Doesn't look like this driver includes support for the SB16 PCI specifically, so that suggests it's a no-go.
Some PCI cards have an "SB Link" socket on the card, as do some motherboards. If you connect the two, it allows a PCI soundcard to emulate a real Soundblaster (the SB Link carries the ISA DMA signals which are missing on PCI). It's very uncommon though.
If you're stuck with PCI, it's generally best to go with a well-supported PCI soundcard, like any of the SB Live series or perhaps the C-media 8338/8738 (lots of cards are based on this chipset).

This driver uses the older audio API. I don't think the support for the older API is working yet in the Haiku media server. It's there, just not debugged.

The app entry says: Source Not Available
Is there source floating around somewhere that can be added to Haiku? It would theoretically allow VMware emulated sound to work (and others VMs too).

I was quite happy to find a GUI for the Mixer and the configuration of the SoundBlaster, now my microphone seems to work right.... Please do note that i would like to say, Again, that i'm disapointed about R5's stability issues, my System (Mainly DeskBar and Tracker) Stop functioning and the Menu's simply 'Hang' there and cannot interact (and cannot be removed or even moved), If there is any sollution about this please do tell me. I was a bit po'd when I found out that Beos5.0 didn't automaticly support my SB16 card in my CTX laptop. Installed this driver, and it works beautiful now.
