I have a SB pci 4.1 based on this chipset.
Is there any way to get the rear speakers working or does the driver not support it yet ?

Thanks...

Not having any sound was the only thing that kept me from using Be at home for the longest time. And now everything works beautifully!! thanks for bringing the joy of computing with the BeOS back to my house. Man i'm psyched! keep up the good work.

Turn off onboard AC97

Go to your BIOS and turn off the AC97 onboard chip, that should help resolve any conflict with a PCI card with AC97 support enabled.

Ahhh... sound is bliss

Seemed to try all the other drivers first then this one... saved the best for last. My 'Devices' yielded the clue I needed: CardID=5880

The driver it worked great for my PCI card which had Vendor : Ensoniq (0x1274)

It works

I don't have much idea about BeOS, but it does work in my case. Why don't you write to the developer?

doesn't work at all - I got AC 97 onboard in the way =(

I have tried out this driver and also the AC '97 driver for my built-in soundcard. It just doesn't work :(
Could you please help me out?
I have also tried the patch that I found, which says it should playback correctly.
The thing is, it seems that it does, but no sound still. That's what the patch was for, but it STILL doesn't work :(
