No the ATI-TV card is for ancient tv-in cards. Best support for BeOS R5 is Brooktree 848/898 based cards.

I'm about to buy a TV-in card to use with BeOS for recording video. Will these cards work with this ATI-TV driver?

Thanks.

Stan

Xpert@Play 98 AGP (Rage LT Pro chipset) with ATI-TVfm

Has anyone been able to get this driver to work with a Xpert@Play 98 AGP (Rage LT Pro chipset) with a ATI-TVfm card? The readme file says it was tested with the Xpert@Play 98 PCI version. When I select ati as Video-In in the media app it reverts back as soon as I restart media services. I'm using BeOS Pro R5. Thanks

TV-OUT Not Working?

Has anybody gotten the TV-OUT functionality to work? When I connect the output wires to a TV, the text and graphics screens are shown on my TV during boot, all the way up until BeOS launches into the actual graphics mode it is normally in. I.e., it will show the graphical startup screen on the tv, then when actually starting the GUI, the monitor screen continues to work fine, while the tv screen goes to vertical bars. By changing the resolution and scan frequency settings in the BeOS 'screen' preferences panel, the bars will look different (move faster, slower, have more or less colors) and even in some modes it will slightly resemble the actual screen, just not correctly. Anybody have any idea what I am doing wrong? Help is apprectiated!

I have a ECS K7SA pro board with on board sound that works in BeOS. I have installed an older All in Wonder (16 MB Rage 128 chipset). How do I get TV sound? I get picture.

Thanks

Tom

Spoke too soon.

Finally hooked up my antenna to get a nice clear picture... seems the video output is only showing the left 2/3rds of the video feed from the tuner for some reason. Installed the older beta 4 drivers thinking they may not have this bug, but alas video was not viewable at all. Now I am unable to get it working with the beta5 drivers.
Also if anyone has any of the older versions of this driver can you please make them available somewhere or email me.

Thanks.

Works great on AIW Pro (Pal version)

Though, that app for more modern ATI Wonders is made by same author and is worth to try on your computer

I don't have a Radeon, I have TV Wonder VE.

There is separate ATI-TV app for Radeon-based solutions.
Though, there are problems with it:
1) Works only in NTSC
2) No TV-output - ATI didn't publish specs for analog TV-output control due to copy-protection reasons

What about my ATI TV Wonder VE PCI card?!?!?!

I can't bare to use an ATI as my main GFX card, so I have to pick up one of thos TV Wonder VE cards instead, though it seems Be has ZERO support for it, it looks like it is recognized, but all my programs show no signal, think I could get some support for this in the future anytime before I have to switch to Linux which I REALLY do not want to do. BTW I am a Composit port user, I try to avoid the RF adapter as much as possible, though I can settle with that as long as the quality is there.

Work, but no work

Carlos,
Thanks for an excellent program. When it initially loads, the image screen is a little shakey, but it stabilizes in 2-3 seconds. The only thing I have noticed so far is that I have to restart media services for my sound to work either in your program or BEOS in general, but since I am new to BEOS, I don't know if this is caused by your program or a setting I changed in error. Thanks again!

Thanks Carlos!

This is great! My Rage 128 32MB Now captures Video....
Does it very well too.

Be sure to go over the entire ReadME file, some of the apps (codycam) need certain settings (RGB32).

My other machine has an older AIW Pro AGP, and the media server cannot restart without crashing... Is there any way we can get the old 0.6.1 drivers?
