the MNG Translator should be installed into (/boot/home/config/add-ons/Translators) ...
The browser (as in Net+) does noet use the BeOS Translator Kit at all (who knows why :P)
as for other browsers i have not uses them but i suspect they don't use the TransKit either.
To varify that it is installed and working try opeing a test image (a .mng or .jng) useing ShowImage.

Im not sure if i did all the necessary steps to view the test mng pages but all files seem to be installed correctly but it did not work.
Do I need a link in my plugins folder for the browser?
How to test it without browser?

I installed the MNG translator but it doesn't appear in the Data Tranlations list.
When launching manually the translator, I get the following error: Could not open "MNGTranslator" (Missing symbol: GetToolTipInfo__5BViewG6BPointP5BrectP12BToolTipInfo).
My system is R5.0.3 with BONE.
